Savon de base fait référence à un type de savon simple et traditionnel fabriqué principalement à partir d'une combinaison de graisses ou d'huiles et d'un alcali, généralement de la lessive (hydroxyde de sodium pour le savon en barre ou hydroxyde de potassium pour le savon liquide).
